Description

Resilience provides kayaking and paddle boarding lessons and tours on the Hudson River, suited for all ages, fitness, and experience levels. We offer tours of the Manhattan skyline and visual landmarks, lead by a certified guide who will talk you through historical and ecological facts about the river and area. All training and gear needed is provided, as well as free photographs of your trip. Water quality is tested regularly and tours are timed to coincide with the tide and weather. We also have a youth camp, where we organize STEM projects and paddling lessons/games to teach campers all about our river.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Are you hiring?

A: YES! Please email us at info@resilienceadventures.org if you have water or environmental experience.

Q: Is the water safe?

A: Yes! The Hudson River is clean enough for recreational use. We wouldn’t go in every day if it wasn’t! Our trained staff tests the water regularly to ensure quality and checks the weather daily to track currents and waves. We will reschedule programs if the water is not safe or clean enough to swim in. To learn more about water quality and clean water advocacy, check out our friends at Riverkeeper.

Q: Can my child participate?

A: We love kids! If your child is over 8 years old, look into our Youth Program options! If you would like a tour or lesson with your child, please call or email us to discuss. We have two-seater kayaks for you and your little one to share, or we can have them try their own kayak/board depending on age.
