Event Details
Saving Mothers is dedicated to decreasing preventable maternal deaths in low-resource areas because no woman should die giving birth. Many of these deaths are due to simple complications or unsanitary conditions. Up to 90% of women in low-resource settings deliver outside of a hospital setting, and 73% of these deaths are from preventable causes. This issue shockingly still exists right in New York, with the highest rates in Brooklyn and the Bronx. Your donations will be used to create safe birthing kits, fund pre- and post-natal care in low-resource areas and provide training for healthcare providers to continue working for this cause.
