Jersey City Slam is a nationally recognized poetry slam and open mic now in its 10th season. Come check us out at our NEW home at Snapdragon Coffee and Social every second Thursday of the month.
What is a poetry slam? The poetry slam is an interactive poetry competition putting the power in the hands of the judges picked at random from the audience letting the community decide who is the winner.
Don't want to compete but still want to perform? There is an open mic before the slam open to any discipline (music, comedy, poetry, bar tricks) and to people of all walks of life with something to share.
Admission is only $5. So come by grab yourself a coffee, a little bit to eat and enjoy yourself. Doors open at 6:00 PM and the show starts promptly at 7 PM.
